Whissy is doing great. if anything she's TOO mothering. Keeps licking them and munching on their fur and they squeak when she does that. Isa jumps into the air and tries to get away, trips over her feet and sprawls on the grass, ROFL. Then they lie asleep blowing little bubbles... I need to take them out of the sun before their little noses get too sunburned actually.
Whisper looks like she has another kid in her - but she doesnt, she passed both the afterbirths and is DONE. she is still fairly fat and very healthy looking - which I'm glad of. She had 2 litres of molasses water and another 6 litres of normal water... doesnt want any grain right now but that's ok. She's eating plenty of grass.
I gave her Combivit and 5ccs of penicillin because I helped her a wee bit with the kids (being they're huge hehe). Tristan was coming out 1 leg back so needed a bit more pulling - Isa I just grabbed her hooves and just helped to pull her out. Whisper did a great job! :leap:
I went in there just before 10 after checking the sheep, she had the water bag just out and hooves just behind - so it was just a case of grabbing the little hooves (sorry, big hooves) and helping her a bit.
she screamed more when I gave her the combivit than she did during the kidding. . .
