I am a new goat mama (we've had babes before but have never had to bottle feed them). We have 2 week old twins being bottle fed goat replacer. The past 3 days or so, they've had scours (yellow & mucusy looking if that helps) & today will barely take the bottle...like less than an ounce when they normally take 5 or 6 oz at a feeding. They are starting to nibble at hay but I don't think they're consuming that much.

They still seem happy and playful but the diarrhea has me worried and now the not eating. Any advice for me? THANKS soooo much!!

Get a temp on the kid... to make sure ...something else isn't going on there...

These milk replacers seem to make the kids scour ... I'd cut back on the mixture(Powder) for a while and see if that helps.... Or you can slowly switch to cows milk that you buy in the store....

    How many feedings per day?

Give pepto to help with scours.....

If no improvement ...in a couple of days...get a fecal done ...for cocci and worms...
