Hello! Still fairly new to the goat world, and I just had my 2nd kidding this year. Got 7 babies! And oddly enough, I have 1 kid with folded erect type ears, and 2 others that have 1 floppy ear and one erect style ear. I personally think its cute! But for breeding purposes, are they undesirable?

that's typical Kiko! I have NEVER seen a herd with all the same ears as you see in dairy or Boer, some up, some down, some 1/2 and 1/2, some with 1 up 1 down, and some just wacky! first pic, a PB buck, last pic a 1/2 Kiko 1/2 Alpine and the other pics are 3/4 to 7/8 Kiko

I am out of this breed now, but these where ones I had years ago

Wow that buck is absolutely handsome! Well, I'm very glad to know that its not uncommon to have different ears on a single kid! Was generally curious to even know if that was normal or not.. Half of my kids have strange ears:funnytech:

Tyree was something else, stunning to look at, stunning to walk (leash trained) stunning manors, HELL on the fence, house, feeders and EVERYTHING he could hit, he could flatten a 2x4 constructed super dog house in 5 minuets flat

Thats a true nightmare goat, bad behavior would have only been the cherry on top. Nothing worse than a destructive goat!
