hi how long does a goat take to start licking her newborn?

usually pretty much right after they are born..sometimes if they are kidding a second kid they may show very little attention to the first....how is mom behaving?

she is not used to us so she was to scared to lick her baby but now she licked him and now he is beautiful and alright little buck.

Should be immediately, although some first timers are a little hesitant due to confusion about what is going on. I've had a couple of does that would never clean up their kids, they stood there and hollered for me. I don't have them anymore. :laugh:
