Anyone ever have to make a career change, based on fundamental beliefs? If so was it worth it? Seems like a change may be in order.
Yes. It was worth it. I was lucky though, I was able to quit and not work. So far haven't seen anything worth applying for. We were able to make the financial adjustment.
If your beliefs don't line up with your career, maybe it would make a huge difference in your life and wellbeing to make a change. My uncle once told me that you'll never know unless you take the risk.
Not quite a career change, but what could have turned into a career if I had felt it was right to pursue it... It’s the hardest thing I’ve had to take away from myself, because I loved it-and still do love it...
Discussed it with the family, I have been offered a new position while not in the private sector. It would be more closely aligned with my beliefs and values. So I think we are going to make a change. Honestly I do not. Think I could in ride it out for 4 years, in the hopes of a possible change.
Well looks like the move is in on. Best part about it is I will have a little extra time to provide private training and instruction pro Bono.
