Thought I'd post my kid watch. These girls came to me pregnant, so it will be interesting to see what they kid out.

Lily is the dam of my pretty little Isis, if you couldn't tell.

They're both due on July 7th, which is an estimated date. I'm thinking it will be within the week from today. They're getting close.

They were bred to this buck:

So, do you think I've got my FIRST ever doeling in one of these two?

(If you didn't know, I've had eight kids born on my place, and all EIGHT have been bucklings.)

Lily had triplets last time, Caiti twins.

Should be interesting to see what is born! Lily is blue eyed and Caiti is polled, so that adds some excitement too. :D

    Day 149...still NO KIDS.

Caiti is completely normal, soft ligs, udder, but no serious signs.

Lily, on the other hand, for the past three days, has every SINGLE sign of imminent kidding...except for pushing out kids!

    ARGH!

oh boy - the wait as they get this close is the hardest.

I dont envy you with kids being born in the summer though, the heat is just to much.

    Hoping for some PINK

Too right, I'm not a big fan of summer kidding. These girls came to me bred. I wouldn't have bred them to kid in this heat, and certainly wouldn't have bred them twice in one year, or more...ahem, nevermind! lol...

I'm aiming for December kids, yay for cold weather kidding. Maybe I'll bring them in the house again? ;)

Wow your girls are definitely keeping you waiting until the very last day huh? Hopefully they will kid soon!
And I agree about the summer heat. June would normally be a good month for kidding, but this year the heat set in early and with a vengance! And this month....whew.
They are calling for a high of 96 tomorrow. My 2nd preggo doe to kid <also the last of my preggos> is losing her ligs...now watch she will kid on the hottest day of the week :(

They're bound and determined to make me reach in there and get them out myself, I tell you.

The past few days have been over 100 here. Yesterday reached 103 (and the heat index was higher.) today its 10:30am and already 92 degrees. They say its going up to 98 but I think at this rate its going to be hotter.

I hope its cooler at your place for the poor preggy girls

Any babies yet? I sure hope she doesn't wait until the hottest part of the day to kid!

The heat wave is just blistering. It's not been as awful here as it is in the northeast <we're in central KY>, but it's 11:26am, and 88 degrees - we're not far behind you Stacey. Our high is supposed to be 96 today -hottest day of the year so far for us.
Epona - I hope it's much better your way!

Just as fat and stubborn as they have been all week. Sigh!

I've been putting them up at night in the pen by my back door so I can keep an eye on them overnight. I swear they LAUGH at me when I have a peek at them. Or Lily will stand up and arch her back, then chew cud and grin at me.

Or maybe I'm just going crazy?

Lily's had thick white discharge for days now. Lots of it last night.

I think I need more coffee.
