Hi, my Saanen Lily is favoring her back leg. It looks somewhat swollen just above the hoof and up to the knee. Even the knee looks a little puffy! She is walking on it, but it's tender. Can I give her anything like aspirin or ibuprofin? If so, how much? I'm not sure what's going on with her, but I'd like to treat it quickly. Thanks! Brooke

Aspirin dose is .5gr per pound 2x a day......or even try a flavored baby aspirin, I'm sure she'll take it a bit easier...or hide it in a raisen or piece of fruit like banana to get her to take it. It will help with inflammation also.

Thanks, I will definitely pick up some baby aspirin tomorrow! I'm surprised they still make it.
