Ok our buck has been limping since he was treated for pneumonia. We have given him liquamycin for 5 days and aspirin and B-12 for four days. He’s putting more weight on the back leg now but he’s still pointing the toe and limping. Should I continue the liquamycin or maybe use penicillin?

Did you check his foot and leg thoroughly?

Yeah he doesn’t have any wounds or anything stuck in his foot. We first thought that it was he needed his hooves trimmed but that didn’t help.

Turns out antibiotics didn’t help much. I got better hoof sheers and found that he has the start of hoof rot on many of his feet. He’s never had his hooves trimmed until we got him. We’ve been trimming his hooves and it’s getting better slowly.
