Ok our buck has been limping since he was treated for pneumonia. We have given him liquamycin for 5 days and aspirin and B-12 for four days. He’s putting more weight on the back leg now but he’s still pointing the toe and limping. Should I continue the liquamycin or maybe use penicillin?
I'm sorry your comment was missed on the other post....with joint ill, it takes at least the ten days to complete kill the infection. We want to avoid a relapse. Its good hes showing improvement.
Turns out antibiotics didn’t help much. I got better hoof sheers and found that he has the start of hoof rot on many of his feet. He’s never had his hooves trimmed until we got him. We’ve been trimming his hooves and it’s getting better slowly.
