    Hello!

So my friend just picked up the cutest little bottle baby doeling yesterday!

It was a 2 hour drive, and she said the doe hasnt pooped at all yet, shes peed, but thats it.

Should she be worried? I told her that she should give her some Probios paste, is this correct?

Tell her to give the baby an enema... have her get a syringe without needle and fill with warm water ...make sure it isn't to hot...slowly plunge it up the poo shoot...repeat..... until you see the baby push and start to try to get the poo out.... depending on how much you see come out...if you think it isn't enough ...she can do this again... to insure that the baby gets the poo flowing.... .this will loosen the blockage and get things going again...

The baby should of pooed already.....if it has been over night.... any messes on the ground....it won't hurt the kid... to give an enema anywayz...

If you own livestock you need to be prepared for the eww, giving a kid an enema is not hard. In this case it is life threatening if she does not go. She could rupture her intestines, which would make her feces go into her belly, cause her to go septic and die. This needs to be done NOW. I'm sorry, but this is not something to take lightly.

Yep, tell her not to wait, just put some rubber gloves on and get it done. I had to do this once, it's gross, but it saved the kid.

I was wondering in this situation if dosing with mineral or castor oil would be helpful?
