Lotion bars are great for super dry skin and use bees wax. You can add ess. Oils too for added benefit. Let me know if that sounds like something you want to try and I'll get the recipe for you.
Yeah that definitely might be something we'd want to try. We've never used lotion bars before so I think it would be worth a shot!Lotion bars are great for super dry skin and use bees wax. That sounds great! Two questions: Are those measurements fluid ounces or by weight? Secondly, how do you use a lotion bar? Do you use it with water like soap or...?Super easy
I do is
3 oz bees wax,
1.5 oZ shea butter,
1.5 Cocoa butter
3 oz oil (sweet almond, olive oil or avacado oil works) look up benefits of each to see which best suites your need. I like infusing calendula in olive oil and use that.
20-40 drops eo if using.
Over double broiler..melt bees wax and butters until melted. Add oil. Wax will cloud up..keep stirring until well blended. Remove from heat, add eo if using and mix well..pour quickly into mold. Let sit until firm. I usually leave over night. This makes 4 soap size bars.
Thanks for the suggestions! 🙂Weed em n reap has a nice udder balm recipe. It feels nice on my hands. Aquaphor works well on my eczema hands. I love aveda hand cream! That is my all time fav. Cetaphil makes a baby lotion that we use on the grandbaby that actually works well for a thinner type lotion.
