I'm a bit tired right now maybe I'll come back after a cup of coffee and redo this but they all look good at least for homestead milking, none of them have big faults in their udders, besides maybe a little uneven but that's not your fault. the last two look to have pretty good udder attachments and most/all of them have pretty good-sized teats. of course could be bigger on the teats for a few but they don't look difficult to milk. Kahula has a bit of a small udder for an 11 hour fill, but her attachments are great so her udder would last longer in her lifetime than, Pizzazz for example. If you still want me to, I'll come back in a bit and tell you what I think of each goat's udder Lol. (remember though, I don't breed show goats this is just what i've heard)

I would love to hear your thoughts on them. I will have to see if I can get pics with a 12 hour or so fill on them but may be awhile. I have to get a new milk stand and some equipment. (My goat barn burned down 3/14. We lost all of my equipment but everyone is safe thankfully.)

Trying to talk myself out of keeping all 11 doelings I had this year.

So first off, with any FF, don't judge TOO harshly the first year, though with experience and knowing lines etc, you'll recognize some things that you can eventually judge on a FF udder. Typically you need to give some FFs another freshening.

Coco: She's not terrible. She could use more medial strength and definition to the udder floor. Her teats are a bit wide set and could be more straight vs out to the sides. She could use more roundness up top. She seems to be lacking some capacity if this is her 2F. Some of that could be feed/management too, as far as capacity. Herfore could use more smoothing.

Gaisha: I like how wide she is and she's got width in the udder. Her upper attachments might need a little more tightening. But she got a better shape. Her teats are pretty wide-set and not straight. She looks like she will be pretty capacious. She's got a better medial than the first but could be improved, it might improve more next fresh. Her fore is hard to see, is it short?

Himei: I think she's my favorite out of all. She looks to be pretty well attached. I won't judge height in pics because I have found sometimes height doesn't come across in pics, esp on the stand. IDK why but I can have a doe with a high udder look like she has a lower udder in pics. She has good teat size and better placement and is straight down. Next fresh they may improve more when she is making more milk. Her fore is much smoother blended than the others.

Pizazz, decent attachments, wide set teats I suspect she will fill more up top next fresh and pull the teats in more possibly. Needs a stronger medial. The fore udder is good. Could use more blending but better than the first two.

Kahlua: Good fore, her main issue is lack of medial which is why the teats go out.

Bahama: Could use better teat placement and medial. Bigger teats. She has a nice wide udder.

Overall, you need a buck that has impeccable teat placement, teat size, and a strong medial and I think you will see some improvement. Not a bad bunch to start with though. One thing that we can't tell from pics is orifice size. If they milk a teeny stream that's not desirable. You want alot of milk coming out the orifice. Also udder texture.

Thank you.
Gaisha isn’t standing correctly she has a short foreudder. Bahama and Gaisha have small orifices. Do you know if it is fixable in 1-2 generations or is it hit or miss?

Ehhh, maybe better in 2 generations. I had a couple of doelings by different sires, same dam that one of them only VERY slightly improved over the dam. The other got worse. It's worth it to try if you have an excellent udder buck I suppose.

I have some here that I'm considering culling after seeing a few of the udders of siblings, I just don't want to take years to improve when I like what's coming out of my current bucks more anyway. I want my udders where I want sooner rather than later.
