Where are you at? The dairies near me sell day old Jersey bull calves for around $10 each.

Yes, you would look under farm and garden.

You could look through the ads to see if anyone is selling and you could post an ad saying you want one.

I am in Oklahoma and they sold 2 jersey bull calves at the sale this past weekend for $125. They are way higher priced than they used to be, but most people should be having fall calves now and should have some available.

I am in Northeast Oklahoma. They did say the calves were from the OSU dairy herd, so you may try to contact them. Maybe you can get one from them before they take it to auction. the Swan Dairy in Claremore also sells calves, but theirs are typically beef cross and are black or black and white and they were selling them for $150 last year, not sure on this years prices as I haven't checked with them.

Usually they only get 1-2 days of training, if any, in vet school.
