Hi everyone. I’m going to call my vet about this but wanted to see if anyone has noticed this in a goat before.

One of my boys has a lump very near and going on to his ribs. I felt my other two but couldn’t find anything like this on them. I googled it, and the first thing to come up was bone cancer, which gave me a scare.

I would take a picture, but I’ve shut them in for the night now and didn’t think to before. I’ll take one tomorrow. The lump isn't really visible though. It seems to be underneath the skin.

Just wondered if anyone here has experienced this before?

Did he have an injection in that area recently? Is the lump movable or does it seem to be part of the bone itself?

He did have an injection around there a few weeks ago, though this is the first time I’ve felt the lump. It isn’t moveable and is quite hard.

More than likely an injection site abscess.

Yep, sounds like injection site to me as well.
