Lump on Neck?

Hey y’all! I noticed that there is a semi-hard lump on my 4.5 month old baby goat. I am able to get my fingers under it and it feels not immovably hard but not super squishy. It kinda feels like those fatty lumps dogs get. I haven’t noticed it until now. She also doesn’t seem to feel it at all because I squeezed it, and this goat is our most drama queen out of them all, but she didn’t seem to notice. We gave her the CD and T vaccine probably a month and a half ago. Do y’all think it is a abscess, a tumor, or something else?

Is that where she got the vaccine? Looks to me to be a vaccine cyst. If so it will be ok. Just keep watch and if it does fill in and burst..flush with a very weak dilution of iodine a few days and let heal. Some just slowly shrink back in its own

That’s what I was thinking. It’s on the right side and I can’t remember where exactly I gave it to her but that’s where she has the most skin so it’s probably where I gave her.

Also, I have two random questions that I didn’t know deserved a whole thread. Do you think this looks like zinc related or something else related hair loss? They all scratch their heads a lot. Also, they seem to love the kelp. I put it out there free choice and it’s gone in five minutes. Is that a problem?

Did you look for lice? Eating the kelp is fine but you might have to limit it due to cost. Meaning put a certain amount out per day and when it is gone, it is gone till next day.

Tiny crusty spot on head? Try some tea tree in coconut oil or nustock on it see if that helps
