Buuuuut someone has said the minimum weight is 50 lbs and max is 80, that doesn't sound right, does it??

That's about right for our fair. I don't show, but I know people whose kids do and I've been told that 4-H goats have to be born in the Jan to Feb range to show the latter part of August.
