I have a doeling who is due to deliver in March. Her udder looks to be starting to develop, but one side is larger than the other. Both sides are soft. One of my experienced goat friends suggested that it could be some subclinical mastitis. If it isn't mastitis, what are the odds that both sides will become even when she bags up? If it's mastitis, what are my options in this doeling? Thanks.

I had a FF uneven in udder development/ until she kidded and I milked her from parturition for about 3 days. She was fine after that. It happens more often than you may think. I wouldn’t worry at this point. Just keep an eye on her temp and any dark: purple look to the udder.

I agree. As long as flesh looks and feels good. I wouldn't mess with it. Just keep watch.

Best wishes
