I have read about milking at 10-14 hour intervals (we were thinking 7am and 5pm). I wondered if anybody has ever tried this since I don't want them to drop and not go back up as we are milking 6 of them.
Thanks for your opinions.

We are recording production so we will see how it goes.

We started yesterday, they are doing great! It actually looks like some are going up in their production instead of down!

My milking schedule is off balance. I work 3-11, so a true 12 hours between milking is not something I can pull off.

I milk somewhere between 0930-1130 and then again between 0030-0100. Its very seldom the same time because I don't get home at the same time, nor do I get up at the same time each morning. Weather sometimes plays a part in chore time too.

The only consistancy about my chore schedule is it's inconsistancy! The goats (horses, dogs, cats and chickens) have adapted quite nicely.
