Little Miss Muffet
Sat on a tuffet,
Eating her curds and whey;

  1. I would like to know what she used to make those curds, rennet, citric acid, etc.?
  2. Has anyone tried eating curds and whey? If so, did you like it?
Along came a spider,
Who sat down beside her
And frightened Miss Muffet away.

If you have tried eating curds and why, did a spider show up?

I am making Chevre for the first time and this morning while scooping the curds out of the whey, this nursery rhyme was mentioned. Thought it might provoke a conversation. :D

Probably just fermented it. If you let the milk sit on a counter, it will also separate into curds and whey. The cheese is called Clabber. I actually did it for a while and did it long enough to make it thick yogurt consistency. Made my breakfast shakes thicker. Tasted like plain yogurt.
