I thought our guard dog pup had gotten too frisky with our pygmy kids and had bitten them on the neck, but it's clear to me that isn't the case. The pygmys have large dry scabs around the neck and shoulders. Could it be mites? Is this something I can treat myself? The boer kids don't seem to have a problem, yet. Is there a preventative treatment?

    Thanks.

I went through the same thing a couple of months ago. It started out on his ears and then went to his neck. He had scabs and his hair started to fall out in chunks. I injected him with Ivermectin every 10 days for 3 rounds.
