Hey, my nubian doeling has finally started eating grain. she is about 7 weeks old and estimated 25-30 pounds. I haven't had a chance to weigh her in the last week. How much grain can I safely give her? She can have as much hay as she wants, and she gets 2 bottles a day. She has a healthy appitite. In the last 3 days she has really started to chow the handful of grain we give her. Right now we give her a half handful in the morning, and she eats that after her bottle right away. Then when she gets hungry in the late afternoon we give her another half handful. We feed her her second bottle after supper.

I would stick with the handfuls until you wean her off the bottle and then you can up the amount. I wouldnt give more then a cup per feeding at this point
