Anyone ever had a mute kid born? He’s a couple weeks old now and opens his mouth like he’s crying but he only makes air sounds. IMG_0889.jpg

May of temporarily lost the voice. It can happen.

    Acting normal otherwise?

How interesting! Gotta say, there's a few folks in the packgoat world who would love to replicate this genetic anomaly!

I would guess that no cleft palate, (way back at top of throat)? as he looks great! Boy, he is a cutie! I have a huge Alpine buck that squeeks. Kind of like an Elk with a sore throat. (You'd think Elk, with their giant size would bellow, they have a woosy bugle!) If he is otherwise healthy, I would think he is fine.

I will get a video of me holding him up. You can see he does cry, just no sound. It’s so weird. He’s going to be for eat, weathered, so I guess that’s good. I worry he’s going to get separated from his mom and she won’t be able to find him so I’ve been keeping them up by the house.
