My friend got me a surprise!

So, my friend a few days ago got me two surprises!!!!! TWO bottles of Penicillin!!!!!!!!!!! I couldn't believe it!! Her husband works at TSC and gets a 50% off with no tax (it's a pro of being a worker Lol) so he got me TWO bottles for only $64 dollars!!!!! I'm SO excited and thankful!!! I gave him a $100 dollar bill because I felt guilty taking it and not repaying him and his wife. I'm just so thankful to have them as friends and customers! Very, very nice people ♥.

I haven't been able to get Penicillin in a year... So, very, very thankful for this. Thank y'all, C & A!

And just so y'all know as a heads up, TSC is starting to get Penicillin again. My local store here in NW GA and the TSCs in TN, closer to the GA line have been getting it, too. Oh, and the TSCs around Sparta-Pikeville TN, that area too. Keep a look out folks!

That's awesome! I'll have to look and see if my TSC has any. I still have an almost full bottle, but it's always great to have a back up or two.

They are pulling antibiotics from the shelves in a few states now. New law. :(

You are lucky if you can get it OTC.

That’s awesome! It’s great to have friends that are this considerate.
I am super new to goats. I have 6 Nigerian dwarfs, should I buy a bottle? What’s the shelf life? I don’t want to buy a bottle that someone might need only to have it go to waste here, just because I panicked 😳 I would be in a mess if I needed it though, I do not have a local support system…or any system. I’ve read a lot of people go antibiotic free, and that’s great, I just have no clue what most of those ingredients are…or where to look for them??? A lot of people abbreviate and I’m sure most of you know exactly what is being referenced, but I’m clueless. So even the best intentions are mute if they’re abbreviated or if there’s no tips given on where it’s purchased.

Well it depends if you have a good relationship with a vet, because they are going to be the only way to get it soon. Personally, I would get some. It normally has a 2-3 shelf life, but can go a bit longer in a pinch.

Who ever thought years ago that we would be so excited to find some penicillin?
We will be in Michigan and Arkansas soon so hope we can get some.
We have had no luck with vets yet. The equine vet who used to prescribe for us but will not see goats said there are no provisions for emergencies. If our goats are sick and a vet is not available; they die.

Yes, I know that. But I have friends in different states who's TSC has been getting it back in stock all of a sudden. So, I'd grabe some of you while you can, if you can!

Yes, if you can find it I'd buy two bottles. Better be safe then sorry . You can't look at it as " well what if somebody else needs this or that" and leave it. Because the next person who "doesn't NEED it" will take it. Trust me, you'll need it.

I was literally jumping when my friend got here Lol. So thankful for them! I've never been so happy to see an antibiotic before
