My ponies are home!!! I'm so exhausted but it was worth it. Pictures are worth a thousand words: The mare. I think I might name her Cricket? The yearling filly: Husband with the mare: Husband leaning over to pet the yearling: Me on the mare. Please ignore my bad posture, I just hopped up there for a photo op! The goats were like...wtf? Anyways! It was a long drive filled with much anticipation. We arrived at the home to learn that the yearling filly has never even had a halter on. Sure wish I'd had known that in advance. It was a rodeo to get her onto the trailer, but we managed it. I felt so bad for the poor filly, she had no idea what we were trying to do. But I suppose I shouldn't complain too much...she was free. I have already started teaching her to give to the rope, and she is already showing a response. I have all the time in the world and she'll be halter broke in no time. I can walk up to her and handle her just fine, she just doesn't know how to lead. The mare appears to be well broke, or at least close to it. She didn't blink twice at me hopping on. She comes right to me and allows me to pick her feet up and rub all over her. I'm very excited to see what the future holds for us!
