I checked on her at 5am, she was sitting up and seemed fine, but she was dead at 8am, no idea what went wrong. I thought if she made it til the morning after the surgery she'd be ok, but I guess I was wrong.

I haven't read any of the replies yet, just not up to it right now, I will check them out later though.

aw poor thing. I am sure your sister didnt mean it  (just reading that reminded me of a singers son who hit his sister and killed her, such a freak accident!)

Praying she heals up for you.

As to a pen med, can you give her asprin or is there a chance of internal bleeding? dont want to make that worse.

    Do you have any banamine?

The poor little girl- I hope she gets well soon. At least the vet was willing to do something- so many times, I can't get the vet here to do anything for my goats.

I am so sorry for this accident. I hope your little girl recovers 100% from this trauma. I hope your sister is doing Ok also. I'm guessing she's heartbroken too. Glad you had a vet that was able to do the surgery on her.

I am so sorry. I know how you feel, when you get a critter you feel total responsibility for their well being. We do the best we can. Do not beat yourself up about it, share your insight so us new goat owners (me) can learn. So sorry. :(
    Best wishes- Lorna
