Hey I am registering my two doelings and I need to choose names! I’ve never had to choose my own registered names for my goats before so my creativity for it is blocked lol their moms name was Red Hot Dream. Their current names are just Rosie and Jules, but any suggestions for names would be greatly appreciated!!!

we use the Icelandic name system.
For instance if silver had a kid its name would be
silver buckle
buckle's kid would be some thing like
buckles belt

Goat hikers names are cute..
You start with your herd name so those letters count.. We also like adding the sires letters...
For ex: my Niya reg name is
Happy Bleats TS Niya. Her sire is Thunder Storm..so we add TS.
So using Goathikers names
Your herd name, sire letter, Rosy Sunrise Dream.
Sire letters are not a requirement..(thumbup) picking names are fun...be sure to let us know what you end up with.

In general here, we choose to incorporate the sire and/or dam's names into the name. I too ad sire initials. Sometimes I will pick something totally random because I love it and it fits.

So we had kids from Wolfill Wise Ruler and Fruitful-Acre's Promise's Mercy...their buck and doe were Kessel Run WR Merciful King and Kessel Run WR Merciful Selah

Another, her dam was Calla Lilly...so the doeling was Kessel Run RGR Sweet Zinnia - I continued the flower theme and the RGR was for her sire Ruger.

Our other group this year, the sire was named Java, so I went with coffee names. Kessel Run JJ Mocha Latte and Kessel Run JJ French Macchiato and then her wether was Java Chip.

I love coming up with names lol.
