My yogurt recipie is very simple. I buy a small container of vanilla yogurt with live active cultures from the grocery store.
Then I take 2 quarts of milk and heat to 188 degrees. I add 1/4 cup of sugar and stir well. Cool to 112 degrees add a half teaspoon of vanilla. Then I add one teaspoon of rennet water mixture. (3 TBS water +1 drop of rennet) stir in the store yogurt and then put in my yogurt maker. I go 9 hours and it works perfectly every time.
