Okay, so I had two kids reserved from BlissBerry Nubians in MN out of FF's. One of them did end up having a doe kid Yay!! But all my other second choices didn't. So I'm trying to decide which of these two does to get a kid from. I'm thinking I like GCH Lakeshore Farms Just-Tina best. http://www.blissberry.com/tina.html and most likely she's what I'll go with. What do you all think of her? There is another one that *might* be a possibility but Sara is waiting to hear back from somebody about her. She is Lakeshore Farms Antigua. http://www.blissberry.com/tiggy.html Which one do you think is best?

Please let me know what you think.

Yeah, Tiggy does look kind of weird in that pic. I like Tina alot better....of course she would be the more expensive one.

If you are reserving kids from these does, look also at the sire/s of those kids. :) Are they both bred to the same buck?

Wow! Your getting some from Blissberry too! Do you have any more kids reserved from anywhere else??

I would go with Tina. She has a nicer rear udder. Tiggy is set up weird which does not help her appearance at all.

only looking at the does, i would go with tina. i have a half sister to her (Lynnhaven Just Gerda) and i like her a lot. nice personality and very consistent milker. tina is also a good producer and this would have priority for me.
it does not say who the does are bred to? this might make a difference.

Oh yeah, duh sorry. Tiggy was bred to *B Kastdemur's Freestyle http://www.blissberry.com/sires.html#freestyle

And Tina to *B Kastdemur's Full Monty http://www.blissberry.com/sires.html#monty

Now tell me what ya think. :)

Lol Jacque, no these are the last ones for this year. We're gonna be broke.

And the FF that I was able to get a doe kid out of is BlissBerry FM Intangible http://www.blissberry.com/junior.html#intangible and she was bred to *B Kastdemur's Almost Famous http://www.blissberry.com/sires.html#famous

WOW, Monty's dam is nICe! Definetely go with Tina. :)
Now of course we all want to see the kid picts!
Oh, another thing to look at is previous kids from sire and dam, to see if they pass on their genetics well. Some animals look great but just don't pass well, so consider that too. :)

Well just got some sad news, Sara emailed me this morning and said that Tina's doe kid died. :( She dosen't know why for sure because she wasn't sick or anything. So....if I want to get two it's going to have to be the Tiggy doe kid. Sara said they really like their Tiggy daughters and are retaining one themselves this year.

Tiggy is bred to *B Kastdemur's Freestyle http://www.blissberry.com/sires.html#freestyle

That's what I'm thinking is maybe she's the type that produces nice kids. And of course those pictures of her were kind of weird so it's kind of hard to evaluate her.

Her back legs are set to far forward so it gives her that 'hunched up' appearance. I do like her udder though. Freestyle looks like a really nice buck, so even if she isn't that nice of a doe I think he should take care of it.

That's too bad about Tina's doe kid. Your getting two? Who else are you getting out of? Tiggy does have a really nice daughter by Wild At Heart! Antiquity is a very nice doe.
