We have actually never owned wethers, but our doe who had triplets had two boys who will be wethered and going to their new home at the end of June. I am trying to gather some resources, links, etc. to pass on to the new owners, including this thread. What are the "special" needs of wethers in regard to their care, health, feeding, etc.?
not much different in the care wise when it comes to worming and medical care. Feeding wethers can be a delicate balance. You want a 2:1 ratio of calcium to phosphorous. If you feed a grass hay dont feed any grain if you feed alfalfa hay then give a small amount of grain. Treats are ok.
