Never mind

MTA: vet called back and gave me instructions for the charcoal. I'm a double idiot who can't figure out how to delete this 🙄

I'm a dummy.
I just went to treat a handful of kids for coccidia but my brain failed and I gave them LA200 instead of dimethox 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ They got it orally at 1cc per 10lb. Have call in to vet but it's after hours. Hopefully someone will see this and tell me that I didn't just kill them! I believe I have some activated charcoal and possibly biosponge I could give if needed. FML

Give activated charcoal .. then in a few hours probiotics. I would wait a few days before doing Dimethox..let their system have a break

That's the plan. Vet said 12 hours for probiotics so they'll get those tomorrow - I guess the AC takes a long time to clear out. Tubing a bunch of strong, healthy (i.e. fighting) kids was not fun but they all got apology snuggles. Hopefully I'm forgiven.

How are they?
How are they?
Nice and bouncy! The one that had the worst poops even looks dried up. He wasn't too bad and the others were just clumpy with mucus, but I confirmed oocysts on fecal. They'll get homemade probiotics today (cud based) and I'll start the dimethox (sulfamed actually) tomorrow as long as they still look good. I'll alternate with more probiotics in the morning and meds in the evening.

This is yet another problem that I haven't had before; there were a couple last year that were already compromised, but these are perfectly healthy otherwise. I ordered the sulfamed to have on hand JIC though after other products went VFD, and I'm glad I did. It cleared up a bacterial infection two years ago too. But if this is going to be an ongoing issue I'll get some Baycox so I can do single dose prevention instead. These guys have already been on herbal dewormer which Molly said should help with coccidia, but apparently it's not enough :-/
