Well, I bought another buck. His grandsire is the famous ++*B Serendipity's Topper. I used a Topper son in the 1980's and that is how I got my buck +*B Rainview's Sebastian. Sebastian produced some very nice kids for me. I have yet had luck posting pictures on this forum (not too computer saavy) but did get pasture pictures of each of my does/buck up on my website. The buck I bought is registered as cou blanc but as you can see in the photo that he is a deep chocolate brown. His dam is also registered as cou blanc but is a black brown. In my experience the chamoise animals do darken up with age but I have never heard of a black animal turning a deep chocolate brown. He has a black ring on top of his feet. So not I have to brown colored bucks!!!! Sue
he is nice, his coloring is very close to that of the buck I used (nigerian) who was registerd as a bager face, but to look at him you wouldn't think so. They certainly do change as they grow up.
