New Kinder Herdsire Is HERE!

It's happening! I contacted a breeder up in Ohio after they were recommended by a buyer of my kids. The breeder let me know that she had a buckling who was born in the middle of April. She sent me a bunch of pictures which I shared with another Kinder Breeder near me who told me that she is getting a buck from the same breeder which means that she could help transport this little guy to me! What a coincidence right? So here he is! I've put a deposit on him and I'll be getting him on July 9th or 10th.

He'll be three months old when I get him. Wasn't planning on getting a buckling this soon. And definitely not when the rut is about to start, but with all these things falling into place there was no way I was going to pass him up. I might put him in with my two wethers until the rut is past, or even put him in with my does once they are all bred, but I'll figure something out. I hope to use him on my doe Murphy this fall. I'm so super excited! 🤩

Thanks everyone! I'm an absolute mess of nervous excitement. It all happened so unexpectedly. I can't wait to meet him!

Question: Will he be okay quarantining for a few days alone? The place I plan on putting him in to start out, he would only be able to see my does if they were to walk by in a pasture across from him, and my bucks pretty far away. He could hear them for sure and probably just barely see him. I don't plan on keeping him quarantined for the full two-three weeks as I can't imagine him being happy alone for that long, but would he be okay for just a short time alone or should I find away to get some of my goats in his constant view. I figure what I'll do is have him in my largest barn and maybe bring my bucks daily to hang out outside the fenced in porch area to see how they act with him to start.

He should be fine.

He’s a handsome little guy! You lucked out on the transport, it is meant to be, that’s for sure.🤗🤗🤗
If he’s as sweet as he looks, you’ve gotten the perfect addition to your herd.
Youre a smart gal, you’ll get the living arrangements sorted out long before he arrives. Of that, I had no doubt.
Congratulations…so what name are you thinking? I like Eomer 😉😁

There you go naming Arwen--I mean Murphy's boyfriend too. 😆 I'm shocked you didn't go for Aragorn. No, for now my lips are sealed. I know exactly what I'm naming him, but until he's here, not even my family knows. 🤐😄

He just looks like an Eomer….ok keep your secrets…until notified otherwise (and probably beyond) I’m calling him Eomer 😛🤣
