Hi I just got a 8 week old and a 6 month old. Both females. We got them to eat brush and such. How much goat feed should we feed them daily? So many people have told me different. Do they need extra minerals and copper if they live in the pasture?

You should always keep minerals out free choice. Depending on the breed/size, you need to supplement with a pelleted grain while they are growing. A good goat pellet would be best. I would start with a cup or two per goat daily. You may also need to supplement with hay depending on the amount of brush/browse available. Clean fresh water and a shelter should also be available at all times.

What breed are they? Minerals should be left out 24/7. Grain is a supplement so you just want to feed a little but depending on if they are full size goats or miniatures would depend on the amount.

Thanks that is what I have been doing. The breeder told us about a pound coffee can each day in two feedings.
