Hi, I am new to the Goat Spot and I have a doe (second-freshener) that will be due around Valentine’s Day! This will be our first time with a goat birth, so we are hoping everything goes smoothly. We might have some questions (especially during labor). Anyway, I just wanted to say hi!
Hello hello and welcome! Congrats on having a doe about to kid! There are lots of knowledgeable people on here that will be able to answer all of your questions. If you'd like you can set up a kidding thread in the kidding corral section of the forum so you can update us on your doe's progress and wait along with you!
welcome
the only advice i will give is stay calm stay back to keep the doe stress level down and watch.
when the kid is out move smoothly in and wipe the kids nose and back off and let mama do her thing.

So glad you are here. I agree with @fivemoremiles . It is so exciting..i do want to jump in and help. Ive learned to back off and just watch. The doe will tell you if she needs help.
This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
