My ff doe had a single healthy buckling at 9 am this morning. She passed the afterbirth an hour later..I saw it, she ate it lol. Now she has long stringy mucousy red discharge.
Is this normal? How long will it last?
She is acting normal and feeding the baby etc.
I tried to bump her, just in case.. but being a newbie, I have no clue. I didn't think I felt anything but she still seems fat.

Ok thank you. She is definitely eating alot lol.
I will have to get some better pics. She is my one doe who was dam raised b4 I got her and very skittish. I think she bonded with me through her labor though. I am gonna make sure I hold this baby a lot so he is friendly.
He was still wet in this pic,he is really a light cream on the back end and dark brown on the front. His dad is a Buckskin so I think he will be light buckskin. He has some spots on his head that are a lighter tan. His eyes are blue like his mom's.

Thanks:) After all the worrying, he came out textbook style and she did all the work and I just caught him. He stood right up after she licked him a few minutes and then started looking for something to nurse lol!
