On one of my new goats I thought I might need to put on a little weight on her. Her hips (in front of) are sunken a little bit. I did a famacha score of about a 3 . I decided to get a stool sample for fecal, so after about 25 minutes after feeding, she had no bowel movement. So I gloved up and went in, finding no fecal to br had. I would not think much of this but this is the 2nd or 3rd time since I got her that I’ve tried to pull a sample that way and every time has been the same. No fecal to get. My question is, “ is this normal, is it possible she had used bathroom in pasture before I fed her?” It just strange that that many tries have been fruitless. Thoughts please, this baffles me that she had nothing 3 times. The times were spaced out over a 2 month period. Just want to rest my mind that no problem in this.
You have had her at least two months... she is eating so she IS pooping or she would be dead.
