Definitely mixed with Nigerian. That or fainter. I think those are the only 2 breeds that can have blue eyes. I’m not 100%. I love my nubian/alpine cross Acorn she gives LOTS of milk, fiancé bought me a cream separater and she has LOTS of butter fat in her milk too which I’m excited about I’ve already made some vanilla coffee creamer and butter from 5 days worth of milkings(morning/night). And some of the milk I got today gave me 2 cups of cream and it was only from 6 cups of milk total. Kids are still on her so I don’t wanna completely drain her yet. Her milk is soo delicious as well and she’s producing a whole lot more than I was expecting her too. I don’t know if she came from good milking lines or what but she’s sure producing like she is. I’m sure she’ll be a great milker for you too since she could be mixed with Nigerian which is a milking breed too. Congratulations. 🙏🏻

Thank you all! She and the doeling are settling in nicely. Still a little nervous of their new surroundings. Once quarantine is over they will have to get used to my other goats. A new goat vet, recommended by the gal I got her from is coming out to ultrasound her today to confirm pregnancy.🤞

Update: I recently bought a 3 year old Mini Nubian and her sidekick (not daughter) an 8.5 month old full Nubian doeling. The 3 year old was exposed and suspected to be bred, but no guarantees. I had a vet out and ultrasound showed she is open. I have been looking for a nubian or ND buck and have found both that I can rent nearby so we can still potentially bred her this spring if she is cycling. My question is, do mini nubians cycle year round and if I put the buck in with both of them is the younger girl too young/small to be bred. I am not sure of her weight or if she is cycling either since most full nubians are seasonal She looks small to me, but I am new to Nubians. I hate to separate them since they are both so new and bonded to each other, but I don't want trouble for the younger one either. Also, any issues with August/September kiddings?
