Can it still be a Nubian if the ear is like this? Or a cross?

Maybe… looks like a folded ear… can happen in the cold at birth if the kid is not dried well. I know it’s hard for you there. If you are considering him ask for dam/ sire records if they exist or at least pics.

Looks more like a defect/folded ear than a breed thing.

Was there an injury and torn ear?
I first thought collapsed ear which is hereditary. But w see a separate flap there. Can you get better pics of it?

Nubian ears are usually have small spots on them.
I don’t know. I was looking at buying his sister.
Turns out the black guy has it too.

Yes I thought so too. If it was genetic would she pass it on?
I agree, that looks like folder ears. Sometimes they get cramped in the womb and ears get folded. Typically one would tape them open the first couple days of life so the cartilage doesn't harden while folded. I've had a couple like that. Taped them and they are normal after a couple of days.

I personally don't like when people don't fix them, but I guess some don't know. Aside from the visual appearance, I feel like it's annoying to them to have their ears like that and may affect them in other ways potentially.

Okay, thank you! So they are definitely Nubians!!
That is a collapsed ear, very hereditary.

Possibly, but I thought it came from the sires side?
You can still correct the ear at birth.
I have a doe with collapsed ears that I never noticed until she was closer to a month old. They don’t seem to affect anything, as of yet. She’s only a 2yo tho.
