I have two ND bucklings. We got them in spring and the nights are getting colder. How do you all keep your goats warm in the winter?

I built a 6x6 box and loaded it with straw. They live in a concrete block barn. Anything else I should do?

You could always get them goat coats if it gets too cold.

That should work. I use to use a similar type of building for my doe and her daughter. I just put straw down like you did and closed the whole shed at night. They never came out in the AM looking cold :)

thats another reason to have at least two goats so that they can keep each other warm. we live in nh and i think your block building should be just fine.

Is there glass in the windows? As long as they can completely get out of the elements and be in a draft free area with lots of straw for bedding, they should be ok.
