I found a local breeder that has a few grade Oberhasli and Alpine goats. Does anyone have any experience with the Oberhasli breed. I have googled them and they sound like nice quite and calm goats. Any thoughts on them???

I have obes :) Yep they are generally calm and quiet goats. The only thing I don't like about them(and its something I'm trying to improve) is that if you aren't careful and pay attention to their lines, you can have some less than lovely udders.

oh my I loved my obies! Very lovely breed, and I love the rich dark chamoisee colored ones. (they all are chamoisee or black but the darker ones are my favorite)

I LOVE the look of Oberhasli goats. The breeder I bought my goats from had a lovely doe, just soo pretty. My twins are 1/4 Oberhasli. You can't tell, they just look like Boer crosses (I.E. you can really see the Boer and can tell there is some dairy in there, but can't really see what kind). I'd love to have one some day myself.
