Odd or even

    Just confused, i know goats are herd animals and i was planning on getting 3. Should they come in pairs or is an odd amount ok?:anyone:

    3 is better...even with chickens and such...that way if something happens to one they still have each other.

    I agree, three is even better, so don't worry about it. The only issue that can come up is if two out of the three are especially bonded, like say if they were litter mates and the other wasn't. Sometimes there may be small issues there, but odd or even numbers don't effect that.

    If you get 3 then 2 of them might become friends and leave the other one out. I think it would be better to get 4 :)

    Actually, I have 4 and 3 pick on 1. I liked it better when I only had 3. They didn't pick on one like they do now.
