What do I do!!!! my goat goat has been pooping like In the shake of dog poop, you can barely see the pellets in the chunk of poop, he stopped eating his feed. Iv given him hay

Help me please I'm worried

Has he eaten anything new, or too much grain? My goats will occasionally do that and they are fine. How long has it looked that?

soft poop can be dietary, worms, stress...

dark brown to black canbe worm, where a green tint can be dietary..

Take his temp 101.5-103.5 is normal range...
ishe eating his hay, chewing a cud, any rumen movment,,,sounds or gasses?

Dont offer grain right now...hay and leaves only...give about 1/2-1 teaspoon baking soda in enough water to drench...off him electros to encourage drinking

If you find he has a low temp, no rumen sound or grinding teeth...give him C D Antitoxin...

My goats did this last week. I gave them probiotics and they were totally fine and back to pellets by the next day. Although they never lost their appetite for food and I'm very new to this. So I would just watch yours.

He is on his normal diet nothing has changed

It was his time for deworming, so I did that today
He has been chewing his cud
He usually eats alfalfa and I gave him some coastal, what would u prefer

Yup. The powder. Mixed it with water and used a syringe and force fed them.

Did you have a fecal test done to determine what sort of parasites (worms) your goat has?
That would be more helpful than just giving a dewormer. If you take a fresh poop sample to the
vet, it shouldn't cost very much. Then you will know what dewormer to use.

Thats great he is chewing a cud....Probios is a good idea...
so to address the loose poop..I agree with goats rock..with wormer there should not be a schedual...worm when needed only, fecals are th best way to know what you are dealing with but when that is not an option, condition and anemia are ways to check and see if worms are an issue...rough coat, loss of weight, being lethargic, the runs..these are just a few indications worms are present...checking for anemia, which i do like a crazy women..a goat comes near..I pull on that lid lol..when the iner lower lid is not deep pink to red, the goat is anemic...here is a link to show you what to look for

you can copy that famancha chart to carry with you in the field..( be sure ot replace often since it does fade)
When you do need to worm and you are doing so without a fecal..use either Ivomec plus (1cc per40# sub Q) or valbazen (1 cc per 10# orally, not for pregnant does)
these two wormers take care of the most on our hit list
There are herbal alternatives to chemical wormers that you give on a regualr basis...
