Just received my new Jeffers catalog today and on the front it lists specials and

NOW Available - C.L. Vaccine for sheep

Does this mean we are getting one step closer to a CL vaccine for goats?

I would hope so. I wonder if the chromosomes in goats and sheep make a difference in this. Shelly

In the Boer Goat world many breeders are actively vaccinating for CL. Coni Ross is a big proponent of vaccinating. You can use the sheep vaccine to prevent but you need the autogenous vaccine to suppress it.

I haven't vaccinated for CL yet personally because its never been an issue.
