Why is it things go bad when you leave town. We had to make a 4hr round trip drive Saturday to pick up my new milking stand. Just as we were getting ready to turn in and say hello, I get a phone call. My FF nigerian dwarf Lily is having her kids.

Well @#$# they are two weeks early, the first one was stillborn and the gentleman calling me had no ideal what to do. So I call my mom and send her over there to see what is going on. She calls back and says that Lily had 2 more and they were in the same sack, stillborn as well.

So I lost 1 buck and 2 does, all of them blue-eyed by the way, but luckly Lily is doing fine and we are milking her out for now.

Mom said the babies looked fine, no deformaties, they were just early. I do not know why she had them early, but I am just thankfull that she is doing well.

Oh no :( I'm so sorry that happened to Lily... At least they were healthy looking, and she's doing well... Terrible loss, though :(

This is my first loss during kidding, and to lose all three, uggg. But yes I do have Lily and she is being her wild, wild self and seemed to clean out well. We are now milking her and storing the milk for later use.

It is awful to lose them, but good that maybe her colostrum will save some other kids (either yours or a neighbor's) down the line... so that is the little angels' parting gift.

 again, and glad to hear that Lily is feeling good after that ordeal
