    Hi All

I'm new to goats and have recently acquired an angora buck (soon to be a wether). We are planning to shear him when he is sedated for castration and I'm hoping to be able to use the Oster Clipmaster clippers that I use for my horse.

They have an 83/84 combo blade but I'm not sure if it will cut too close. I could buy an Oster Thick Blade Skip Tooth which will leave about 3/8 inch of hair. Would this be suitable?

    Thanks in advance!

LOL, yes he lives in a barn so sun burn is not a worry, it gets hot here and he's black

He is not living in barn for shade, he is hiding in barn hoping no other bucks see him.:heehee:

LOL! Ok he is my only buck, my wether AND doe will probably get it two!!! Russ has thick hair/wool like Diesel and Letty is not as thick (more dairy) but she is notoriously large!

Was there a special reason you wethered Russ and kept him, instead of selling like you usually do?

I wethered him to keep him as Diesel's friend, so I could also put him with Letty when needed, he's all for me (and Niko) not for sale (like I usually do) I just love him!
