Overdue doe

I have doe who is 5 days overdue. Is this normal? Her ligaments are still tight and she has an udder but It’s not completely full. She is acting normal and isn’t in distress.

Did you hand breed or put a buck in with her for a period of time? (Like a month)
What breed is your goat?

How long was her heat cycle?
About two days if I’m remembering correctly

We put her in the pen when she came into heat and took her out two days later

While NDs CAN go earlier, I never count their due date as 145. I still count as 150 so I'd say she's not overdue. I've had NDs go 152 and 153.

Ok! I was wondering about that. I used a gestation calculator so I was just assuming it was right. Thank you

I don't care for those calculators that define different dates for NDs than standards. I know there is a fair amount of NDs that go a bit earlier but I feel like it makes people freak out if they go longer than 150 and potentially cause more unnecessary interventions.

Some does go early some later. i have a doe who always goes on 144 evening to 145 morning and so far she always had quads(open this year though). Another doe who has twins to quads and she seems to go on 149. my new doe went on 150 with twin bucks a few years ago. The farm i bought her from always had them go on the weekend close to the due date so never had a firm, how long she takes to cook her kids...

It’s day 153 now and she is showing 0 signs of labor. Should I be worried?

I would give her a little more time if she is showing no signs. Even if hand bred and witnessed the deed, depending on her ovulation cycle, the eggs may not have been implanted the same day.
Go ahead and post pics of udder, vulva, whole backside to show if she’s hollowed out and getting rumpy yet…
