Here are some pictures of my goats, and the new doe that arrived Sunday, Opal. Her mom just went master champion! She and my doe Honey have been battling it out for alpha goat. Xy just watches them and eats their grain Xy and Honey run away from Opal Honey pondering the meaning of life Xy and part of Honey http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t190 ... 81316b.jpg Opal wants to go out in the pasture http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t190 ... 81314c.jpg http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t190 ... 81314b.jpg I took these pictures yesterday morning in their barnyard (they are only allowed in the pasture during the day as there is a fox problem). They are very unhappy with the extreme heat we've been having!
Teri just emailed me and said that there is a possibility that they either Opal or Saturn could be bred to Victory Flame! He has been living with her does as he hurt his hind end (will eventually need to be put down ), and she was hoping he would breed a few does. So I am really hoping that one of them is bred. He has been in with them since March, if Opal is bred she could be at most a month and a half pregnant. Saturn could be at most 2 months along. They probably aren't though but there is the possibility. In this case that is not a bad thing
Teri was telling me about it - oh so sad I do hope for her sake that he has bred one or more girls while being in there. I am trying to remember which one Saturn was. I remember Opal - sweet thing.
Your doe is beautiful!! That is too sad about Victory Flame, he was a beautiful buck. So what did happen to him?
If I remember correctly, Teri went to feed, etc. and found him hurt, she thinks another buck may have rammed him into something, but I am fuzzy as it happened awhile ago and only recently has it gotten worse. He is not in a lot of pain but he is so limited in movement. Does her pooch look bred to you? I don't think so but am not good at this kind of thing. She would be less than 2 months pregnant. http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t190 ... 081431.jpg http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t190 ... 081432.jpg
