Here I sit in the barn, like the many that have done so before me. Was in the middle of setting up a camera to watch pinky when my Aunt said, hey your goat is doing some strange things. I poke my head around the corner and sure enough she's being different. Tail up and heavily rounded. Yup after a couple of those I figure out oh its kid time. She's not pee'ing. Of course this comes on a day that I had to be up at 3.30 in the am to take a friend to a doc appointment some distance away. Also I have to be up early in the am to go to work tomorrow. Again, like all those who have gone before me, I forsee being somewhat tired tomorrow! Being a novice at having goats, i'm excited, terrified, in wondermen and terrified. Yes I know they CAN have them without supervision. So she's in basically the first stages of labor. How long does this usually last?
