I don't think that is jimson weed. Jimson weed has a spiny fruit. http://www.southeasternflora.com/View_Flora.asp?PlantID=464# I think it is horse nettle. http://www.southeasternflora.com/View_Flora.asp?PlantID=117# We have a lot in our pasture; the goats nibble at it and it doesn't seem to hurt them.
