I came home from school yesterday (I live an hour away and my parents look after my goays until the weekends) and found that my bottle babe has really bad diarrhea. She's also been lethargic and seems pretty week. She's always been pretty skinny, but when feeling her sides for possible bloat, I could feel absolutely every bone in my poor baby's body. I don't know what to think. I've felt her sides and they're not hard or airy, and she doesn't look bloated at all, but I also didn't hear any noise coming from her rumen, and she hasn't burped or chewed any cud that I've noticed.
Please help, I'm absolutely in love with this goat and would do anything to make her better :(

How old is she.
What is her temp.
How much, how often and what type of milk is she being fed?
My thermometer broke and I haven't bought a new one yet so I'm not sure about her temp, but she's 3 years old now
CD&T antitoxin immediately. Electrolytes are a must. Vitamin B complex, and give Bo-Se. Feel under her armpits. Feel hot or cold? Get a fecal sample run including cocci.

Is she looking "lost" (star gazing), walking in circles? Does she get up? Have you noticed her eating?

How old? What breed? How much and how often does she get fed?

Is she 3 years, 3 months, or 3 weeks?? Sounds like you're talking about a bottle baby, but then looking into further, sounds like a mature animal?

Need as many details as possible....
Also time to have a fecal done to include coccidia.

She feels hot under her armpits (normal when compared to my other goats) she's 3 years old, and Pygmy/Nigerian dwarf. They get fed alfalfa-Timothy hay once a day, ad they're put on pasture all day. They also each get a handful of grain once a day. She has been up, and she came to eat hay when I gave it to them, and she sill follows me along the fence when I go to leave the pasture to go inside, and she still talks to me as I'm going.
When I say bottle babe I mean she's the goat I bottle raised, but she's mature now.
You really need to have a fecal done to include coccidia.

How long has she had the diarrhea?
She might have coccitia take her to a vet. And give her Calf Mania

I'll get the fecal done ASAP, and I just noticed the diarrhea yesterday when I came home, my parents said she's been having normal poops all week.
Yes, get that fecal for worms and cocci.
FOr now she needs CD Antitoxin or Milk of Magnesia!! You need to bind the toxins buildinginher gut..no feed..hay and green leaves and get her hydrated..electrolytes are great...(recipe to follow)...I would also giveher Fortified B complex and probios..right away..
!/4 teaspoon of baking soda in enough water to drench....once you have done all that..take a fecal to the vet...

Homemade Electrolytes
A half gallon of hot water
2-6 Tablespoons of Unsulphured Blackstrap Molasses or what ever molasses you have on hand or honey
1-2 Tablespoons of Either Sea Salt, Epsom Salt, Baking Soda or Table Salt.
1 cup of Apple Cider Vinegar

Mix well and drench or let them drink it
You do not need to stress her with the soda if you do the MOM. It will alkalize her system very well by itself.
6cc of pepto to stop diarrhea and electrolytes. If you don't have access to electrolytes right away then drench her with gatorade or pedialyte. Pick some leaves off a tree and she should eat them since those are a favorite snack. I would get a fecal sample into the vet ASAP, sounds to me like Cocci. Inject her with Iron 100 to help with Anemia which can cause the weakness.
Don't do both Pepto and MOM at the same time. MOM first to bind toxins Pepto in a couple days to firm her up.
What is the update on your goat? how is she doing?

Hello everyone, sorry for the late reply, i just got home from work. I haven't been able to get a fecal yet as I had to go to work, and after following her around with a Baggie to catch any poop she had for what seemed like ages, she still hadn't pooped. I sent my mom the link to this post for my mom to reference while I was working so she's been cared for at least. My mom said she was eating, and seemed a bit more energetic than before, although she still doesn't seem herself. I appreciate all your help so much, and I'll keep you guys informed.
You can also "go in" for some marbles. Lol
