I am wondering a couple things about breeding for polled. I just brought home my first polled ND doeling. Her dam was homozygous for polled, her sire horned, so she is Pp.I have a polled buck in mind to lease for an early spring breeding next year. He is also Pp. So the AGS website says they will produce 25% PP polled, 50% Pp polled, and 25% pp horned.
Is there a way to get the offspring of a polled to polled mating genetically tested to see which are homozygous, or will the skull say it all, with no bumps at all?

When does it become a health risk in the polled breeding game, for cryptorchidism or other abnormalities? Does Pp to Pp breeding produce this at all, or a PP dam with a pp buck? or just PP to PP or Pp? I don't want to mess around trying for 100% polled offspring if there's a risk involved.

You should be able to tell if they are polled or not by the skull shape. The worries of cryptorchidism seem to be not as bad as originally stated.
